PCIe FFC connector to standard PCIe x1 slot adapter board (c) for raspberry pi 5, compatible with PCIe x1, x4, x8, and x16 interface devices

Features

  • PCI-E×1 connector with slot on the back, compatible with PCIe x1 x4 x8 x16 devices
  • Only supports PI5B
  • Onboard working indicator, PWR stays on when powered on
  • Onboard DC power supply, can be powered by DC round hole or through 4PIN connector

Hardware Connection

Pay attention to the direction of the wiring, if the PCIe slot is connected in the wrong direction, the PCIe card will be damaged, as shown in the figure:

Boot PCIe

1. Enable PCIE interface

PI5B defaults to enabling the PCIE interface.
If it fails to boot, add the following to /boot/firmware/config.txt:
dtparam=pciex1

2. PCIE is gen2 by default, if you need to enable PCIE gen3, then add following to /boot/firmware/config.txt:

dtparam=pciex1_gen=3

 Answer:
Whether or not to supply 12V is related to the PCIe card used. Most of them do not require 12V power supply, and need to be directly supplied to the PCIe card, instead of supplying 12V to the board.
