Overview

Introduction

PoE HAT (H) is a power-over-Ethernet (PoE) expansion board for Raspberry Pi 5, supporting IEEE 802.3af/at network standards Designed to work with PoE routers or switches that support the IEEE 802.3af/at network standards, the Raspberry Pi can achieve both network connectivity and power supply with just a single Ethernet cable.

Features

  • Based on Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO interface
  • Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE network standard
  • Adopts isolated SMPS (Switching Mode Power Supply)
  • Compact and easy to assemble

Specifications

  • PoE input voltage: 37V ~ 57V DC input
  • PoE-GPIO pin header: 5V 5A (MAX)
  • Network standards: Supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE
  • Product size: 56.5 x 65.0 (mm)

FAQ

 Answer:
No, PoE HAT (H) only supports PI5

 Answer:
The Raspberry Pi board will detect the USB power supply current, if it does not reach the maximum current of 5A, the USB output will be limited, because the PoE HAT (H) is powered to the board through 40PIN, there will also be a current limit.

You can add the following statement to the /boot/firmware/config.txt file to remove the current restriction:

usb_max_current_enable=1
